Effective July 2026 · Heist Law Firm, LLC

Heist Law Firm, LLC ("Heist Law Firm," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through our website at heistlawfirm.com, how we use it, when we share it, and the choices you have. By using our website or contacting us, you agree to this Policy.

1. Information We Collect

Information you give us

When you contact us — by web form, chat, phone, text, or email — we may collect your name, phone number, email address, approximate location or ZIP code, the type of matter you're contacting us about, and any details you choose to share about your accident or injury.

Information collected automatically

When you visit our site we may automatically collect your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring page, and general location. We use cookies and similar technologies for this — see Section 6.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To respond to your inquiry and evaluate whether we can help with your matter
  • To contact you by phone, text message, or email about your inquiry or your case
  • To schedule and confirm consultations, and to send appointment reminders
  • To provide legal services if you become a client
  • To improve our website and understand how visitors use it
  • To comply with our legal, ethical, and professional obligations

3. SMS & Text Messaging

We do not sell, rent, or share your SMS consent or your mobile phone number with any third party or affiliate for their own marketing purposes. Mobile information obtained as part of an SMS consent is shared only with the service providers who help us deliver the messages (for example, our messaging platform and telecommunications carriers), and only for that purpose.

Consent. Providing your phone number alone does not enroll you in text messages. We send text messages only where you have expressly opted in — for example, by checking a consent box or by agreeing when you start a chat with us. Consent is not a condition of purchase or of hiring us.

Types of messages. If you opt in to transactional messages, we may send appointment reminders, callback notifications, case updates, and responses to your inquiry. If you separately opt in to marketing messages, we may send updates, offers, and firm news.

Frequency. Message frequency may vary.

Cost. Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier's charges are your responsibility.

Help and opting out. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at (843) 732-8141. Reply STOP to any message to opt out at any time; you will receive a confirmation and no further messages. You may opt out of marketing messages while remaining opted in to transactional messages, and vice versa.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it only:

  • With service providers who work on our behalf — such as our client relationship platform, messaging and telephony providers, email delivery, scheduling, and case management — and only to the extent needed to perform those services for us.
  • Where required by law — to comply with a subpoena, court order, or other legal or regulatory obligation, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Heist Law Firm or others.
  • With your direction or consent — for example, to a medical provider or insurer in connection with your case.

As noted in Section 3, SMS consent and mobile numbers collected for text messaging are never shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

5. Confidentiality of Your Inquiry

We treat information you send us with care. However, contacting us through this website does not create an attorney-client relationship, and information you send before we agree in writing to represent you may not be protected by attorney-client privilege. Please do not send confidential or time-sensitive details until we have confirmed a relationship in a signed written agreement.

6. Cookies & Analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site and understand how it's used. This may include Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, and session-analytics tools such as Microsoft Clarity, which help us see how visitors navigate our pages so we can improve them. Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings; some parts of the site may not work properly if you do.

7. Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry, provide legal services, and meet our legal, ethical, and recordkeeping obligations, after which we dispose of it securely.

8. Your Choices

  • Text messages: reply STOP to opt out at any time.
  • Email: use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
  • Access or deletion: contact us at the details below to request access to, correction of, or deletion of the information we hold about you. Some information may need to be retained where the law or our professional obligations require it.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children's Privacy

Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

11. Third-Party Links

Our site may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices, and this Policy does not apply to them.
